Chuireamar tús le himeachtaí Sheachtain na Gaeilge sa scoil inniu. Thug daltaí na chéad bhliana cuairt ar Michael Davitt Museum. Bhain siad taitneamh agus tairbhe as. Ba mhaith linn buíochas ó chroí a ghabháil leis an bhfoireann sa mhúsaem. Today our first year Gaeilge students attended a Seachtain na Gaeilge activity in the Michael Davitt Museum. Students listened to the story of Michael Davitt trí Ghaeilge followed by an audio visual account of his life. Afterwards we attended an art workshop where we created our own artwork and reflected on all we had learned throughout the day. Many thanks to all the staff at the Michael Davitt Museum.

To kick off Engineers Week our First Years travelled to Sligo I.T. where we attended an Engineering workshop on "Fan Powered Cars". Students worked as part of a team to build a car and then time their fastest model in order to enter a race at the end against other schools. The students had a great day. Thanks to Mrs Doyle, Mr Burke & Ms Armstrong for making it happen.
