Well done to our whole school who participated in the litter competition and received first prize of €1500. This event was sponsored by Tom Murphy Car Sales. Pictures are members of our Green Schools committee , Lauren Fuller and Niamh Landers. The prize giving event was held in City Hall in Waterford and hosted by the Lord Mayor, Mr John O Leary.

Well done to our junior A ladies footballers on their championship victory over St Declan’s’, Kilmacthomas today. Final score: 6-6 to 2-5. BCS have now topped our group & are through to a Munster quarter final which will take place next week. Well done girls!

Well done and congratulations to all who participated in our Geography Week. We had a range of engaging activities throughout the week from Daily Geography Fact on the intercom, Geography in the News with the landslide in Italy, the 8 billion population to the eruption of Mauna Loa, to posters on climate change, earth, volcanoes, tourism in Waterford to name just a few. Firstb Years worked on posters on Earth boundaries ,volcanoes, eartyjhquakes , rocks with Second Years did posters on What is Geography, Third Years did a Geography in my Loacal Area Walk while Senior Geography students focused on Careers in Geography and geography students had quizlet, kahoot and internet quizzes and videos.
