The Yearbook Committee are looking for you to share your artistic creativity skills and have some fun. They are holding a competition with prizes for a senior and junior category. All details are attached here. The deadline is the 24th March at 2pm. Best of luck and be creative!

Wishing the Mini-Company Finalists nothing but success in their entries to The County Enterprise Awards.
Two TY companies from Scoil Mhuire are finalists at this Entrepreneurial competition, whereby both companies submitted their comprehensive business plans to the judges today. Lochlann Perris, Ethan Farrell and Kenneth McDermott developed and brought to the market their product "Covid Companion". Their product aims to alleviate children's fears and anxieties during Covid 19 and to help parents and guardians sprinkle some much needed positivity and happiness to their child. "Food-ucate" an innovate cookbook which instils healthy eating patterns among children is the company founded, developed and successfully run by Emma Halpin, Choe Curran and Alex Carpenter. After pursuing an aggressive promotional campaign, the enterprising students received huge support from the local business community. The girls strongly believe there is an appetite! for their product and this is just the start of their entrepreneurial journey. Results of the competition will be announced at a virtual event on March 25th.

Students who are sitting the exam will have their portfolio submitted to the S.E.C. on Friday.
Ms O Reilly will collect these portfolios.
Students taking the Accredited Grade will submit their portfolio to their teacher.

A reminder to ensure exemption forms are completed, stamped, signed and posted off to the NUI to avail of exemption for NUI college entry.
Forms have been distributed to students - please assist with completing the form and post it to the NUI address on the form.
Also a reminder to complete and post DARE and HEAR documents and completed Sections this week also.

Hi all, the school Yearbook Committee are aiming to take individual headshots of each 6th Year student on Wednesdays during your Religion class (11.25-12.25PM). We aim to complete this as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible. We will go by your tutor groups. We ask all students to partake as the Yearbook will be a lovely moment for you to receive in May. Also if you have any old pictures from school trips and you wish to submit them/and a baby photo, please send them to hazelmulligan@scoilmhuireclane.ie by 19th March. Portfolio to be submitted Friday March 12th 2021.
Recorded Interviews to take place Tuesday March 9th and Wednesday March 10th.
If you intend sitting the LCVP exam in May then you must do the Recorded Interview next week.
In order to facilitate this please let your teacher know by Monday March 8th. A timetable for the interviews will be available after lunch on Monday March 8th.

WISH LEADER PROGRAMME - Make-a-Wish Foundation Ireland
As you are aware, this year, TY students are taking part in the Wish Leader Programme. TY students are organising a fundraiser for Make A Wish Ireland so that children with serious illnesses can have their wishes fulfilled Ty Artistic Performance group are going to walk cycle or run 1992km, Make-A-Wish Ireland was founded in the year 1992.
The students are progressing well into their challenge and are moving closer to their target of 1992kms. With your generosity we have now reached our goal of raising €1992. The facility to donate will remain open until we complete our target of 1992kms but we will no longer have reminders. We will let you know when we have completed all of the kms.
We would like to sincerely thank you for donating to this excellent foundation.
