Congratulations to our U-16 Football Team who are Leinster Champions after beating Ardscoil Rís, Dublin 0-15 to 1-9 this afternoon! It was a brilliant performance by the lads, who showed great heart and determination to get the lead in the second half and see it through to the final whistle. Well done to all involved and to the management: Mr. Joyce, Mr. McGuinness, Mr. Cullagh and Mr. Mullins. The Naas CBS Community are so proud of this team!

Colum Doyle (TY) - Irish Kayaking Team

A huge congratulations to one of our TY students Colum Doyle who has made the reserve position for the Irish Junior Kayaking Team.
Colum undertook trials in Tuam achieving 5th place, and spent a week in Nottingham achieving 3rd place. Overall he came 4th and only narrowly missed out on a place with the team by 1 point.
A huge achievement none the less and plenty more to come!

U-19 Badminton Team All-Ireland Silver Medalists

Congratulations to our U-19 Badminton Team: Jack McIvor (4F), Tom Nuzum (4A), Adam Fadian (3A) and Senan O'Rourke (2E) who finished in second place in the All-Ireland Badminton Finals in Gormanston yesterday. The boys beat St. Flannan's College 6-0 but were defeated 5-1 by a very strong RBAI, Belfast side. Well done to the boys on a great performance and achieving Silver All-Ireland Medals and to Mr. Stephens who looked after the team.

Congratulations to our U-17 Soccer Team who won the Midlands League Final today! They beat St. Mary's CBS, Portlaoise on a scoreline of 5-2. Goals were scored by Liam Brannelly (2) Conan Kruger, Darragh Bolton and Finn Ryan. Well done to all involved.

Our First Years had a fantastic opportunity on Monday to take part in an interview with NASA Astronaut Chris Hadfield. They are currently learning about Earth and Space in their Science classes. The boys got to hear firsthand how Chris realised his dream of becoming an astronaut, his links to Ireland and also what daily life is like in space. It was an enjoyable experience for them all.

Senior Footballers' All-Ireland Success is Celebrated at Naas CBS

Our Senior Footballers' All-Ireland Title was celebrated at assemblies on Friday. The Hogan and Br. Bosco Cups and the signed match ball were on display, as the team was introduced to each year group. Mr. Travers acknowledged this historic achievement as well as the great work, commitment and attitude that underpins such success..
Thanks to management for arranging the barbecues for students and staff. A barbecue was available to all students at lunchtime on Thursday, while staff celebrated with the Senior Football Team at their barbecue on Friday. Thanks to Fran for serving up delicious food to such large numbers of people. The beautiful sunshine added to the carnival atmosphere!
