Dear 3rd Year Parents & Guardians,
Many of your sons may be considering applying for a place in Transition Year for 2023/24, while some may want to continue straight to 5th year.
It is very important that you make an informed decision on this choice.
This Tuesday evening I am hosting an online talk for parents & students to provide details and information around Transition Year here in Naas CBS. This includes a breakdown of the year itself, and all you need to know with regards to the application process.
Hopefully it can give a better insight into TY and all that is involved in the year.
I will also meet all of the 3rd year groups individually to give them information on the year.

Home for Christmas - A Good News Story

A beautiful female terrier who recently wandered into the school and sought refuge in Mr. Travers's Office was thankfully reunited with her owner after a successful campaign to locate them. Our SNA's Marie Mullen and Linda Adamson, along with Year Head Mr. Kelly and other school members, had worked with Highfield Veterinary and KWWSPCA to see this lovely pet back where she belonged for Christmas. Thanks to all who helped make this story end happily.

Transition Year
Best of luck to all Transition Years starting their portfolio assessments tomorrow.
The following is a link to the timetable:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x47vCaDlP-VyBpRIFM7zXzLr_0WKECRhimV8Hjzo5jQ/edit?usp=sharing
Please arrive 30 minutes before your interview and go to 2/20 for your pre-interview assessment.
Full uniform must be worn.
It is very important that students have completed their Projects + Goals Sheet, displayed this on their portfolios and submitted the published link to their Digital Portfolios before their interview. This is done through their Tutorials Google Classroom.
Students must ensure that all project work is visible on their portfolios (especially their 6 graded pieces). Check the sharing settings of each project.
Please be prepared for you interviews - be on time and look over project work beforehand to be familiar with it.
Most importantly enjoy the experience - be enthusiastic, be talkative and give it your best!
Wishing you all the best of luck!
Any issues contact me immediately.
Kind regards,
S.Coy
