Finally the weather played ball and the TY/5th Year Senior Rugby Team played their first match against Newbridge College yesterday in Naas Rugby Club. Unfortunately, the game went the way of Newbridge College but the team played well and we are looking forward to the game against Kilkenny College next week. Ms. Houlihan and Mr. Warren

Win for U-15 Team in South Leinster Cross Country

Well done to our U-15 Team who won the South Leinster Cross Country yesterday. Our U-14’s, U-17’s and U-19‘s all placed third. Special mention to Tadhg O Neill 1F who finished in second place in the 1500 metre race. Good luck to all teams in the upcoming Leinster’s in Santry. Ms. Kilcoyne

Congratulations to the 5th Year students who received the Bronze Gaisce Award in recognition of their commitment to The President's Award during T.Y. To achieve the award, the boys completed the required number of weeks for their selected physical activity, personal skill and community involvement. They also participated in the adventure trip to Carlingford. Well done to all! A special mention goes to Aaron Redmond who volunteered at Naas Park Run every Saturday morning during T.Y. Aaron received great praise from the organisers for his enthusiasm and positive attitude while he was volunteering as part of his community involvement for Gaisce. Well done Aaron! Current Chemistry Investigators Workshop

In conjunction with Current Chemistry Investigators (CCI), our Senior Chemistry Students took part in a hands-on workshop in the school. The students got to produce and analyse real life data to solve an espionage crime! It was a great introduction to volumetric analysis for our 5th Year Students and a timely revision for our 6th Years. Ms. Walsh and Ms. O'Brien

The TL21 Programme is a workshop based Continuing Professional Development programme for teachers and school leaders that promotes the development of teaching and learning in the classroom. Our aim is to promote a positive relationship between staff and pupils, while also promoting student confidence and self-motivation. Senior Hurlers Through To Leinster Semi-Final

Congratulations to our Senior Hurlers who beat Mountrath Community School to advance to the Leinster Senior Hurling Semi-Final. A slow start to the game for Naas CBS saw them fall a goal behind in the first couple of minutes. Early decisions did not go the way of Naas CBS and the game looked to be slipping away quicker than it started. Charlie Carroll kept the scoreboard ticking for Naas CBS, until a piece of individual brilliance from Cian O’ Reilly set his fellow half forward Ryan Sinkey through on goal to complete a well-executed move. The sides were back and forth sharing scores until Cian Boran broke through on goal and finished the play elegantly for Naas CBS late in the first half. Naas CBS led 2-08 to 1-07 at the break. A delayed start to the second half did not fluster the CBS lads. Cian Boran once again put the ball in the back of the net, with Charlie Carroll, who finished the day with 1-5, taking advantage of an exquisite pass from CJ Boran to put Naas CBS out of reach. Late attempts of jeopardising future fixtures from the opposition, were not successful as Naas CBS held strong to win 4-14 to 1-10. Junior Rugby Win

Our Junior Rugby Team had a great win in Donnybrook yesterday, beating Tullow Community School 24-15 in the Leinster Schools Fr. Godfrey Cup Quarter-Final. They play Presentation College Bray in the semi-final next Thursday 26th at 1.15p.m. in Donnybrook. Winners of this will qualify for the Junior Cup. Ms. Houlihan and Mr. Warren
