It was a pleasure to bring 81 of our Transition Year students to Manchester over the weekend. The lads got the opportunity to visit Old Trafford, go to a Premier League Game (Manchester City vs. Newcastle) and spend a day in Alton Towers Theme Park. The group were fantastic from start to finish, always so respectful, mannerly and well behaved. A huge thank you is also owed to the 6 other teachers (Mr. McGuinness, Mr. Brecknell, Mr. Fitzgibbon, Ms. McLoughlin, Ms. D.O'Brien and Mr. Keating) who travelled and looked after the lads for the duration of the trip. A huge highlight of the year and one that will be remembered for a long time!

We had our 1st Year Sports Day on Friday but unfortunately the weather only played ball for a couple of hours! Even so the students were excellent and took it all in their stride. It was wonderful to enjoy time together, as a year group, outside of the classroom. They even enjoyed ice cream in the rain! Thank you to all of the school community who helped with the day and a particular thank you to Mr. Stephens and the 5th years who worked with him. Ms. K. Phibbs
