1st year subject options

Dear parents/guardians,

1st year students received their subject options this morning.

You will appreciate that with 144 students and 7 subjects, it is a logistical challenge to try to accommodate the preferences of the students. Invariably some subjects will be oversubscribed and we are limited by the class capacity numbers as well as physical and human resources.

We have worked hard to try to get the best outcome for all students. I am delighted to say that every student has been given their top choice.

Most students will be delighted with the outcome but there could be some who would like to be added to a waiting list should a place become available in a particular subject. If this is the case please send me an email to joeleonard@cpckilcullen.com and I will contact you if a change becomes possible.

I wish all of our students continued success in their studies.

Kind regards

J Leonard

Students really enjoyed our Barista Training with the Dublin Barista School. The tutors Nina, Karl and Adam explained how the machines work and spoke about the job opportunities available to baristas world wide. It was a very valuable (and delicious!) experience.

Our TY students really enjoyed the performance from solo artist Bailey today.

The message shared with our students encouraged them to make good choices and to be mindful of peer pressure.

There was a long queue for autographs and photographs after the performance.

Thank you to Bailey and his team for such an entertaining performance.

All year groups enjoyed a live performance from solo artist Bailey today which included a talk on Mental Health, Drug Education, Peer Pressure.

Well done to TY Prefects Luke Costello and Rhys Byrne who had the idea to do something for Men's Mental Health Month in November and were involved in organising Bailey to visit all classes today.

Overall it seems to have been a very positive experience for all year groups.
