Many great speakers visited with 5L and 6L this week as part of their ongoing Social Education Tasks. The Samaritans spoke with students about the importance of talking when feeling low and the services they provide. The Dublin Well Woman Clinic spoke about the services they provide and the counselling available to anyone experiencing a Crisis Pregnancy. The Cuisle Centre, a support service for people of all ages diagnosed with Cancer spoke about the warning signs and symptoms to look out for, for early diagnoses, the importance of not smoking for your future health or quitting early and about the wonderful support services they provide to their clients. The Aoibhneas Women's Refuge for victims of Domestic Violence spoke with the students about the characteristics of health and unhealthy relationships through active methodologies and role play. All very worthwhile presentations and the students went away with a lot of new and important information.
