The Irish Times Higher Options 13th & 14th Oct

Dear Parents/Guardians, The Irish Times Higher Options will take place as a virtual event on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th October. This event provides 6th Year students with an opportunity to speak with representatives from Third Level institutions in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Further Education Institutions and other information organisations will also be present at the event. Students must register in advance and the cost of a ticket is 10 euro. There will also be a programme of career and information talks taking place over the two days. The talks begin at 12pm and end at approximately 6:30pm. Should your son/daughter wish to leave school early to attend the event on either day, a permission note from home needs to be shown to their Yearhead Ms Gillispie along with evidence of registration for the event. A list of the career talks taking place along with instructions on how to register has been posted on the Google Classroom for each of the 6th Year class groups. If you have any questions in relation to this event or have any questions in relation to 6th Year Careers please do not hesitate to contact me. A number of our Fifth students were filmed recently while participating in a SOAR Workshop. if you would like to see them on TV, please tune in at 7.45am, tomorrow, Thursday 7th October on Virgin Media. 2nd Year Internet Safety Workshops

Dear 2nd Year Parents, Cyber Bullying & Internet Safety are two of the biggest concerns facing both parents and students in the modern age. In light of this I have organised Internet Safety Workshops via zoom for all 2nd Year students on Tuesday 19th October at 11.15pm for one hour. There will also be a Parents Workshop on Internet Safety via zoom Tuesday 19th October at 7pm-8pm. The cost of the workshop is a total of 10 euro and covers both student and parent(s) for attendance at the workshops. You can pay for the workshop through the School Shop on the school App. This payment will open on the 11th October and can all payments please be made on/ before Friday 15th October. I will post more information about the workshop on the students Google Classroom and will also send a reminder for the parents workshop closer to the date with the zoom link.
