Huge congratulations to Lee O'Brien 6L and Logan Lynch 3C on their fantastic presentation on how important inclusion has been to them during their time in CPC. We had a lovely morning and really enjoyed the presentations from Scoil Bhride and Camphill. Well done to all involved.

CPC Green Schools representatives attended an awards ceremony in the City North Hotel to receive the Green Flag award for ‘Water’. This is the second Green Flag award for CPC (previously awarded the Green Flag for ‘Litter and Waste’). The achievement of the Green Flag award for ‘Water’ was made possible by the huge effort and commitment of the whole school especially the dedicated Green Schools Committee. A brilliant achievement! Well done all!

Green Schools Walk for Water

Friday 12th May 1st years took part in a mini walk for water organised by the Green Schools Committee as part of the water theme. The walk celebrated water and raised awareness about women and children around the world who walk an average of 6km a day to access water and have to carry it on their way back.
Our mini ‘walk for water' symbolised this journey. On the mini ‘walk for water’ 1st year students walked a 3km route and collected water in a bucket from the spout along the way. 5th year prefects stewarded the event.  As well as the walk for water the Green Schools Committee are fundraising to build a well for a developing world community so they don’t have to make this difficult journey everyday.
The TY School Leadership class trip to Jumpzone was very successful and a lovely end to an extremely valuable year long class.
