We enjoyed a lovely visit to Mary Arden's farm (mother of Shakespeare) and Anne Hathaway's family home (wife of Shakespeare) during the afternoon. This was followed by an outstanding performance of Romeo and Juliet by The Royal Shakespeare Company. Some of our students even met Bally Gill who played Romeo after the show!

The creative process is over flowing from room 16. Students at Junior and Senior level have completed numerous art projects, showing their creative talents, throughout the school term. Well done to all.

And we are off! Very happy Third Year students en route to Stratford upon Avon for a workshop, tours and a performance by The Royal Shakespeare Company of Romeo and Juliet.

Thanks to Joanne from Youth Connect who visited TY today to speak about employee rights and responsibilities, health and safety and the purpose of Trade Unions. It was a very interesting and informative workshop.
Book Sale Fundraiser for Active Learning Stools

TY students with the help of parents and teachers are delighted to announce a Book Sale, Cake Sale, pop up coffee shop and Guess the Teacher Baby photo competition on Tuesday 8th May to raise funds to purchase active learning stools for use by students in class. These stools are very effective in helping people to concentrate while in class. We are asking people to support this worthwhile cause by donating books and attending on the day. Books may be given to Ms Groome in the TY Room or dropped into a box in reception. Many thanks for your support.

Congratulations to Micheal Potterton who correctly predicted a win to Ireland 24-15 against England today. Sincere thanks to our Parents Association for their support and Lily O'Brien's Chocolate for sponsoring the magnificent Easter chocolate hamper including a 1kg Easter Egg!! €185 was raised for the TY musical Chicago. Well done to the U/14 Girls team who won today in a great game. The final score was 4-1 to 3-9. Hannah Crowley was named player of the game after putting in a massive effort from midfield. This win sees the girls move on to the semi finals. Well done girls!
