Just before mid term we rewarded our 37 first years who volunteered to be on the Green Schools committee and our litter pick rota. The senior committee provided some lovely treats and Mr. Joyce supplied his signature chocolate biscuit cake. Huge thanks to all, there was a lovely atmosphere at the meeting.

Hi all, Hope you are all keeping well and had a nice relaxing and enjoyable midterm break. Please take time to read the above message that was sent out on the school App yesterday. As Transition Year students -the appropriate uniform for you is the School P.E. uniform, therefore it is important that you have the PE uniform perfect for tomorrow for your assembly and photos. We look forward to a very busy and productive term ahead - dates of activities will be shared with you tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday and see you all tomorrow . TY Team
Changes on Return to BCS for all Staff & Students

Dear Parents/Guardians , We would like to wish all our students the very best for their 3rd term. We have a lot to be excited about and we look forward to the continued development of our new extension, preparation for our state exams and a variety of activities that we can reintroduce for all year groups due to the easing of Covid 19 regulations. In preparation for the term, we will be holding Year Assemblies on Monday February 28th. For these assemblies, all students are required to be in full school uniform (black & grey) with school tie and black shoes. This will be our first opportunity to take year group photographs since September 2019. Year heads and tutors will be reemphasising school rules and protocols which will include areas such as punctuality, wearing of correct uniform, signing out procedures for class and school during the day etc. National guidelines are now clear on the following areas, and these will also be discussed with students on their return. MASK WEARING is no longer obligatory but we will appreciate that in many cases both Staff and Students may wish to continue wearing them. Clearly, all will be supported if this is the case. SCHOOL TRANSPORT -With effect from Monday 28 February the wearing of face coverings/masks on school transport will no longer be mandatory but will continue to be advised. All other measures relating to hygiene (including the provision of hand sanitiser and additional cleaning of services) and pre-assigned seating on buses will remain in place subject to further review. SANITATION PROTOCOLS- We will still be promoting hand hygiene protocols at BCS LUNCH BREAKS- We will return to the same small break and lunch break for both junior and senior students. This will see the end of staggered breaks which were in place over the past 2 years. ALL OF THESE UPDATES WILL BE REINFORCED AT ASSEMBLIES FOR EACH YEAR GROUP ON MONDAY ! Kind Regards, Denis, Maurice & Maria
