'So, what is Transgender?' by Dr. Vanessa Lacey free online information session for parents / families on Wednesday 16th November at 6.30pm.

Over the last decade there has been a significant rise in people identifying as Transgender. Dr Vanessa Lacey (https://www.gendercare.ie/) will provide a brief but informative virtual session to provide background information, current thinking and future hopes in relation to trans people and their families.

 

This information session will be delivered through Zoom webinar. Register for Free here.

 

The webinar format means that your screen is not on so you can relax from wherever you join from! Questions are submitted via the chat box or on discussion at the end. The Webinar will also be live streamed from Waterford Central Library, Lady Lane. All are welcome to attend.

Bring an interesting science fact of the day to Mr.Williams and get a prize! The hint for the science word of the week is "fivecents". Hint: Use the periodic table! CHOIR at Santa at Lismore December 1st

Hello choir members We are looking for choir volunteers to do some Christmas songs and carols at the Santa at Lismore event on Thursday 1st December from 615-7pm. This is a fundraising event so a great cause. Can you please let myself or Ms Tobin know if you can be there. We will need to confirm our attendance. You will need to organise a spin, I suggest carpooling Thanks

Congratulations to all members of the schools equestrian team who competed last Friday. Both our teams were in the winnings, placing 4th and 5th out of 20 teams in Sceilig. Great achievement! Looking forward to more competitions throughout the year. Well done to all involved!

Next week is Science week! Science activities will be held at lunch in science room C 09. Monday, Chemistry Tuesday, Physics Thursday, Ag Science and biology A quiz will be held on Friday in the hall for 1st year students, run by Ms.Barrett, Ms. Maher and Ms. Lineen Furthermore, there will be a fake organ hidden somewhere in the school each day, find it and bring it to Mr.Williams to claim your prize Mr. Joyce and Ms. Casey are running a science poster competition, the national theme for science week 2022 is “the infinite possibilities of science”. Ms. D Murphy will have a word of the week, to figure it out you must listen to the clues given over the intercom each day and put them all together and bring your answer to Ms. Murphy. Finally, send Mr. Williams your interesting science fact of the day, if you are picked go to G 08 to claim your prize!

Well done to the Under 15 football team who qualified for the Munster Final today. They beat Youghal on a scoreline of 3-8 to 2-4 in the Gold Coast.
