A reminder to all parents/guardians of Third Year students that an Information evening on Transition Year for the school year 2017/2018 will take place in the school canteen on Thursday 16 February at 7pm. It is particularly important that you attend if you do not have previous experience of TY in our school. Third Year students are also welcome to attend.

Study over the February Midterm is available in school from Tuesday to Friday Feb 21st to 14th from 9.00 am to 1.00pm. students must sign up for this at the office before lunchtime this Thursday.
Munster Schools Badminton finals in UL

Best of luck to our five teams travelling to UL tomorrow for the Munster School Badminton Championships.
U-14 Girls: Emily Casey, Sarah O'Brien, Molly Kenny and Leah Collins.
U-14 Boys: Cathal Murphy, Patrick McCarthy, Mark Ormond and Dylan Conway.
U-16 Girls: Kelly Ryan, Máire McCarthy, Fiona Kenny and Izabela Markiewicz.
U-16 Boys: Darragh Murphy, Shane Casey, Evan Murray and Tomas Nugent.
U-19 Boys: Cillian O'Miachain, Daniel Ryan, Conor Scanlon and Jim Fenton.
Reminder that the bus is leaving at 8:20am. Bring a packet lunch and €3 for the bus.

The East Munster Schools Cross Country Championships will take place on Friday 3rd February in WIT Sports Campus, Carriganore, Waterford City at 12.30pm sharp.

Reminder to all TY students and 1st Years who are presenting projects at The Heritage Centre in Lismore tomorrow Monday to assemble in the Canteen area at 10.45 am. First years are expected to be in full school uniform (not PE uniform) and TY students in a neat and tidy PE uniform

The Junior Ladies Football team play Kenmare in the Munster semi final in Mallow tomorrow.
Reminder that the team bus leaves school at 9.35 am.

Operation Transformation BCS

First years and their cairde will be taking part in operation transformation for the next 6 weeks. They will go for a fast walk Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 1.20 to 1.40. We are also asking them to make one healthy change to their lunch boxes , maybe add fruit or cut out chocolate or fizzy drinks and replace with water. They may bring runners for the walk but will have to change into shoes afterwards and they are not allowed wear PE gear unless it's PE day .
