Well done to Katie Meagher, Jessica Ryan and Naomi Nugent who received a highly commended award for their entry to the Young Reporters for the Environment .
Our new Green Schools committee is up and running, we have brilliant, new and very active members. Bright times ahead for our campaign.
Green Schools are operating a new initiative whereby teachers can opt in to make their classrooms a “single use plastic bottle free zone”. Only reusable water bottles are allowed in these classrooms so look out for the signs on the doors.
Our most recent survey has shown that 53% of our student body have reusable drinking bottles with them . Our ultimate aim is to completely eliminate single use plastic bottles but we need everyone on board for this.
