We are now collecting food items for our Annual SVP Food Appeal. Items can be brought to the school Staffroom on or before Friday December 14th. Please ensure that all food items are non-perishable and have an expiry date well into 2019. The food items currently requested are: Sweets, Biscuits, Christmas Cakes, Christmas Puddings, Selection Boxes, Mince Pies, Crisps, Popcorn and other confectionery items. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

A special night of song kicks off the Foxford Traditional Weekend on Thurs Oct 18th at 8 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Secondary School. Four of Irelands finest voices in concert featuring Cathy Jordan, Don Stiffe, Eleanor Shanley and Colm O'Donnell. They will be accompanied by a house band on the night featuring: Pat Coyne, Stephen Doherty and David Doocey. This is an event not to be missed, booking is advised. World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day takes place today, Wednesday 10th October 2018. This years theme is “Young People and mental health in a changing world”.
It is a day for raising awareness of Mental Health Issues around the world. Students will be taking part in various activities through the day to highlight strategies that can help people to take care of their mental health.

Leaving Certificate Parent Teacher Meeting takes place this evening, Tuesday, from 4:15 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. School will finish at 3.25 p.m. today.
School will be closed tomorrow Wednesday 21st November to facilitate Junior Cycle Training for Teachers.

A group of Transition Year students and teachers travelled to Tullamore on Tuesday to the annual Ploughing Championships. The students enjoyed a range of different events from farming to fashion, food and ploughing.

Our Transition Year Students went to “Zipit Forest Adventures” in Lough Key Forest Park for their Bonding Day activities. A very enjoyable day was had by all.
