Stand Up Awareness Week

This year our students and teachers have for the first time participated at the annual Stand Up Awareness Week organised by the BeLongTo organisation. Today we took a stand against homophobic bullying by showing our support for the LGBTI+ community. Students and teachers wore different colours of the rainbow representing their year colour. We then formed a human rainbow
Senior Ladies Football

Senior Ladies lost out in an enthralling game today v Colaiste Cholm Ballincollig. Coming from 11 points down they ran out of time, losing out by 4 points. A gutsy second half showing great heart and commitment. Hard luck girls.

Our U-17 soccer team who advance to Munster QF after a victory over a very good Mungret side. A high quality of football today by all involved, Rian O'Sullivan got the first before Darragh O'Connor added 2 more,keep up the good work everyone @faischools @faireland

Our 1st year soccer team played today against Tralee CBS in preparation for the Munster competition, great to see big numbers involved (nearly 30) and some great spells of play a credit to both squads @faischools @faireland

Reminder:
Keep an eye on your health and to check for symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms of Covid-19 can include some or all of the following - fever (temperature of 38◦C or higher), cough, shortness of breath, any loss or change to the senses of smell or taste, headache, sore throat, or a runny nose. If any pupil or member of staff develops these symptoms they must self-isolate and contact their GP for advice regarding a COVID-19 test.
2. Even with high population uptake of COVID-19 vaccination all public health guidelines still need to be followed to protect the health of pupils and staff, these include:
ü Wearing face coverings
ü Cleaning hands regularly
ü Maintaining physical distance from others
ü Being mindful of the ventilation of classrooms by opening windows and doors as appropriate
3. Access appropriate information around vaccinations (available at www2.hse.ie/screening-and-vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/) For those wishing to arrange vaccination, they can do so at either:

Well done to all our students who were part of the Mid Kerry team that won the County u-15 Divisional Championship today defeating Tralee District. Great stuff lads.
