Today is National Tree Day! This year's theme is 'Tree's are Good Neighbours'
Why not plant a tree sapling in your garden. Here's how!
Handle the sapling very carefully. It's very easy to cause root damage or accidentally break the sapling.
Dig a saucer-shaped hole as deep as the tree's roots system and 3 to 4 times as wide.
Remove any organic matter, like leaves or twigs, from the hole.
Position your tree, so the area where the roots meet the trunk is at or slightly above the ground. That’s called the root flare.
Hold the sapling upright, and refill the hole with the soil you just removed. Pack to get rid of any air pockets.
Add 2 to 3 inches of organic mulch, and water.

The competition is open to all 1st Yrs. You are invited to bake any item once it is a Halloween theme. Prizes will be awarded for: Most creative idea, Best bake and Spookiest design!
Sign up sheet on door of Room 26. So get into the spirit of Halloween, get baking with your imagination and best of luck!

Senior ladies football trial game from 4-5:10pm after school today in Lismore GAA field. Due to the large numbers at the junior trial game last Monday, there will be a second trial game for our junior ladies footballers next Monday (11th Oct) from 4-5:10 in Lismore GAA field.

Blast from the past! Students in first year are currently working on evidence from the past, Chloe was kind enough to bring in some of her cassette collection for students to examine. Great to look at unique historical sources for evidence!
